Hunhh – you say. This is the Flash+PDF runtime upgrade called Apollo. It will be able to display both PDF and Flash and HTML output including all that rich multimedia such as video, audio, Flash animations plus images in a variety of formats but not just in any Web browser. Apollo will also support desktop operations in Linux, Mac and Windows with both offline and online operations. If Adobe can deliver an efficient angine, this is what will drive many future applications. See the full story here – but right now Adobe has both the ambition and the lead.
